Safety & Materials

Your baby's safety is our top priority. Every MAMAMEEPA product is designed with rigorous attention to material quality, construction, and real-world usability. Here's what goes into making our baby fruit feeder one of the safest on the market.

Food-Grade Silicone

The MAMAMEEPA feeder is made from 100% food-grade silicone—the same material used in medical devices and baby bottle nipples. It is soft, flexible, and gentle on your baby's gums while being durable enough for daily use.

  • BPA-free – contains no bisphenol A
  • Phthalate-free – free from harmful plasticizers
  • PVC-free – no polyvinyl chloride
  • Lead-free – tested and verified
  • FDA-compliant – meets US food contact safety standards

Rotational Safety Lock

The MAMAMEEPA feeder features a twist-to-lock mechanism that requires adult-level dexterity to open. This prevents your baby from accidentally disassembling the feeder during use, keeping food securely contained inside the silicone pouch.

Anti-Choking Design

The silicone pouch has precision-cut micro-perforations that allow flavor and tiny amounts of food to pass through while blocking larger pieces. This significantly reduces the risk of choking compared to offering whole pieces of fruit or vegetables directly.

Ergonomic Handle

The handle is designed for small hands to grip comfortably. It promotes self-feeding and motor skill development while being sized appropriately to prevent the feeder from going too far into your baby's mouth.

Easy to Clean & Sterilize

All parts of the MAMAMEEPA feeder are fully dishwasher-safe. The feeder disassembles into three pieces (handle, locking ring, and silicone pouch) for thorough cleaning. You can also sterilize it in boiling water or a steam sterilizer.

When to Replace

Inspect the silicone pouch before each use. Replace it if you notice any tears, holes, discoloration, or signs of wear. Replacement pouches are available in our Shop.

Safety Tips for Parents

  • Always supervise your baby while using the feeder
  • Check the pouch and lock before every use
  • Do not use the feeder as a pacifier or unsupervised soothing device
  • Wash all parts before first use and after each feeding
  • Avoid exposing silicone to sharp objects or extreme heat above 230°C / 446°F
